Welcome
I’m Maleeha, your wardrobe planner, a design enthusiast, and a fellow parent based in New York. I help parents build wardrobes for their children that are beautiful, functional, and planet-conscious.
I’ve always found a quiet joy in discovering just the right thing: something uniquely beautiful, well-made, and thoughtfully considered. For me, this joy has always lived in design—particularly in the things we wear and the objects we choose to live with every day.
My Path
My lifelong interest in design led me to start my career in fashion, where I honed my eye for quality, style, and the subtle details that elevate everyday wear. It was also during this time that I became more aware of the fashion industry’s harmful environmental impacts, and developed a deep respect for smaller, independent brands doing things differently: designing with intention, producing more responsibly, and proving that beauty and values didn’t have to be at odds.
After becoming a mother, I moved into UX design—a shift that sharpened my focus on functionality, empathy-driven design, and how small, thoughtful decisions can shape how we move through daily life.
My Practice
As my family grew, dressing my kids became another kind of design exercise—one that called for beauty and practicality, delight and efficiency, all filtered through a planet-conscious lens. Over the past several years, I’ve learned to streamline children’s wardrobes to meet real life: sudden growth spurts, new and wildly irrational preferences, and rushed mornings, so that getting them dressed and out the door can feel as effortless as possible. I’ve learned which styles are workhorses and which inevitably end up in the “never worn” pile (no matter how cute); how many pieces are just enough to avoid overwhelm; which brands consistently deliver on style and quality, and whose practices reflect concern for our planet and the people who make our clothes.
My Why
I also know how overwhelming it can be to shop consciously while raising kids, particularly in those early years when they’re growing non-stop and you’re constantly trying to stay ahead of their ever-changing needs. I’ve felt keenly, like so many parents, the tug-of-war of opting for convenience vs. making choices that align with my values when short on time, deprived of sleep, and mentally overtaxed.
I created this service to lighten that load for you during that magical but oh-so-challenging phase of life. I do the research, the planning, and the curating, so you can spend less time buried in browser tabs and more time doing whatever fills you up.
The result? A more intentional, style-forward wardrobe for your little one that works better for you and is kinder to our planet.
Style Philosophy
Style-wise, you won't see any cartoon characters, garish prints, flash-in-the-pan trends, or over-accessorized oufits. Instead, I focus on planning a wardrobe of high quality, seasonally-appropriate, timeless-yet-modern looks with attention to materials, silhouette, and design details, in a palette of beautiful tones that play well together.
Balancing well-made, elevated everyday staples with a few special future- heirloom pieces you’ll cherish (and hopefully, pass on), each wardrobe item is thoughtfully selected for versatility, maximizing your wardrobe possibilities and cost per wear. I’ll also select a few coordinating accessories to up the style factor without overcomplicating things for your kiddo.
Values
I don’t include pieces from fast fashion or mass-produced brands that overproduce, create excessive waste, or engage in environmentally harmful production processes. Instead, I seek out well-made pieces from brands that prioritize sustainability and transparency—from the materials they choose to the way their products are made. I consider supply chains and labor conditions whenever that information is available and pass it along to you, so you don’t have to spend time researching every purchase.
I’ll introduce you to beautiful, thoughtfully made products from values-aligned brands, and I’ll also comb through the resale marketplace for high-quality gems that still have a lot of life left in them, keeping them in circulation and out of landfills.
As Anne-Marie Bonneau put it, “We don’t need a handful of people doing zero-waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.” I believe the same applies to fashion—it isn’t about doing it all. It’s about doing better, with more intention.
